Although the Carnarvon Golf Course might not be quite as good value as some of the courses that are further out from the city, it represents good value for money given it is located in the middle of Sydney's western suburbs. The course has narrow tree lined fairways which are alligned all very close to one another. The greens are well sized, not too tricky, and not too quick. Carnarvon Golf Club is bounded by major arterial roads but these do not distract from the ambience of the golf course due to the course being well lined with trees. There are few water hazards but they only come into play on two of the holes, with the bigger danger being hitting your ball out of bounds onto a road. The course is gently undulating and makes for easy walking, however the course is quite long. We found the course to be in very good condition when we played and enjoyed the experience of playing there immensely.
