The total length of the course is 5312 meters which makes it one of the longer 9 holes courses. A feature of this course is that it plays like an 18 hole course with the majority of teeing areas being different for the back 9. The course has narrow fairways and several water hazards. We found the course to be relatively inexpensive and challenging. |

Royal Australian Engineers Golf Club is located in the south western suburbs of Sydeny. Unlike most 9 hole courses it is not a short course. In addition the back 9 has completely different teeing areas resulting in a front nine of par 34 but a back nine of par 36. The course is flat and easy to walk, and looks deceptively simple. However, narrow fairways coupled with several water hazards make low scoring a challenge. The 6th hole runs parallel to a train track and this makes accurate driving essential. The greens and course are generally well maintained, however the greens can be a bit slow. Some holes lack prevalent rough and a wayward tee shot is more likely to land on hard dirt than in deep rough. We found Royal Australian Engineers Golf Club to be a challenging and enjoyable golf course.
