Review of Windsor Country Golf Club

Windsor Country Golf Club is located about an hours drive west of Sydney. The first 11 holes of this course are very good. They involve a lot of water hazards, and those that don't, have fairways which are lined with trees and dog-leg, meaning the green isn't visible from the tee. The next holes however are generally straight holes, which their challenge coming from have steep upslopes or downslopes. This makes driving a challenge as again the holes are lined with trees. The greens in general are medium sized and well maintained at a good speed. The course itself is also well maintained. In our opinion the course could do with more bunkers, however, those holes which have bunkers, the bunkers gaurd the greens well. Other things to note are the course backs onto a large private property making it feel like a true country club. When we played here we also observed many low flying planes landing and taking-off at the RAAF base. These were not really a hinderance as many of these planes were vintage. We found Windsor Country Golf Club to be a well maintained, value for money course.
